On This Day: March 30 1987 Into the Fire by Bryan Adams Was Released
On this day March 30 1987 Bryan Adams released his fifth studio album Into the Fire. Following the massive success of his breakthrough album Reckless this release showcased a more mature and introspective side of his songwriting while still delivering the anthemic rock sound fans had come to expect.

The album reached number 7 on the US Billboard charts and produced several singles including Heat of the Night Hearts on Fire and Victim of Love. While it didn’t reach the commercial heights of its predecessor Into the Fire demonstrated Adams’s growth as an artist and solidified his place in 80s rock.

Fun fact: Heat of the Night became the lead single from the album and earned Adams a nomination for Best Male Rock Vocal Performance at the Grammy Awards.

Trivia question: What was the name of the lead single from Into the Fire that earned Bryan Adams a Grammy nomination?
