On This Day: March 30 1982 Final Episode of Spider-Man Animated Series Aired
On this day March 30 1982 the final episode of the Spider-Man animated series aired. This version of the show premiered in 1981 and ran for just one season with a total of 26 episodes.

The series followed Peter Parker as he balanced life as a college student and his role as the web-slinging superhero. It featured classic villains like Doctor Doom and the Kingpin and brought Spidey’s adventures to a new generation of fans with a fresh animation style and updated tone. Though it had a short run the show kept the spirit of the Marvel character alive during the early 80s and set the stage for future animated Spider-Man series in the years to come.

Fun fact: This 1981 Spider-Man series ran alongside Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends which aired during the same era and often shared animation and voice talent.
