On This Day: March 3 1989 Dream a Little Dream Premiered in Theaters
On this day March 3 1989 the fantasy comedy drama Dream a Little Dream premiered in theaters. Directed by Marc Rocco the film starred Corey Feldman Corey Haim Piper Laurie and Harry Dean Stanton. The movie was one of several films from the 1980s that paired Feldman and Haim who were widely known as The Two Coreys.

The film followed a teenage boy played by Corey Feldman who becomes part of a bizarre experiment involving an elderly couple leading to a mind swapping situation. As he tries to navigate life in someone else’s body he also deals with romance friendship and the challenges of growing up.

Dream a Little Dream was made during the height of Corey Feldman and Corey Haim’s popularity. The film grossed five point five million dollars at the box office and became a cult favorite among fans of 1980s teen films.

Fun fact: The soundtrack featured Dream a Little Dream of Me performed by Mickey Thomas of Starship which helped introduce the classic song to a new generation.
