On This Day: March 14 1988 Eisenhower and Lutz Premiered on CBS
On this day March 14 1988 the legal comedy series Eisenhower and Lutz premiered on CBS. Starring Scott Bakula and Patricia Richardson the show followed a slick but struggling lawyer trying to make a name for himself in the legal world while dealing with personal and professional mishaps.

Despite its humorous take on law and the charm of its lead actors the series struggled to find an audience and was canceled after just one season with 13 episodes. However Scott Bakula would go on to find major success just a year later with his iconic role in Quantum Leap.

Fun fact: Patricia Richardson later became a household name in the 90s for her role as Jill Taylor on the hit sitcom Home Improvement.

Trivia question: What was the name of the character Scott Bakula played in Quantum Leap?
