On This Day: March 12 1982 Borrowed Time by Diamond Head Was Released
On this day March 12 1982 British heavy metal band Diamond Head released their second studio album Borrowed Time. The album marked a shift toward a more polished production style compared to their raw and influential debut Lightning to the Nations.

Borrowed Time reached number 24 on the UK charts and helped solidify Diamond Head as one of the leading bands in the New Wave of British Heavy Metal movement. The album featured re-recorded versions of their earlier tracks Am I Evil? and Lightning to the Nations alongside new material like Call Me and Don't You Ever Leave.

Fun fact: Metallica later covered Am I Evil? introducing Diamond Head’s music to a new generation of metal fans.

Trivia question: What was the title of Diamond Head’s debut album released in 1980?
