On this day June 17, 1983, Superman III premiered in theaters. Directed by Richard Lester, the film starred Christopher Reeve in his third outing as the Man of Steel, alongside Richard Pryor, Annette O'Toole and Margot Kidder.

With a budget of 39 million dollars, the film brought in over 80 million at the box office worldwide, including 59 million domestic.
