On This Day: April 25, 1983 - Krokus Released Headhunter
On this day April 25, 1983, Swiss hard rock band Krokus released their seventh studio album Headhunter. Known for its heavier sound and polished production, the album became their biggest success in the United States, reaching number 25 on the Billboard 200.

Headhunter featured hard hitting tracks like Eat the Rich and Screaming in the Night, helping the band break further into the U.S. metal scene during a time when heavy music was exploding across MTV and FM radio. With strong vocals, catchy hooks, and driving riffs, the album cemented Krokus as a fan favorite in the 80s metal landscape.

Fun fact: This was the only Krokus album to feature legendary drummer Steve Pace, who brought a harder edge to the band’s rhythm section.

Trivia question: What popular ballad from Krokus’s Headhunter album became one of their most recognizable songs in the U.S. during the 80s?
