On This Day: April 2 1982 Silent Rage Premiered in Theaters
On this day April 2 1982 the action horror film Silent Rage premiered in theaters. Directed by Michael Miller the movie starred Chuck Norris as a small town sheriff who finds himself up against more than just criminals. He’s facing a genetically altered killer who can’t be stopped.

Silent Rage blended martial arts action with slasher style horror creating a unique mix of genres. Norris’s character Dan Stevens must take on a nearly indestructible man created by a team of scientists experimenting with human regeneration.

The film earned $10.5 million at the box office and is often remembered as one of Chuck Norris’s most unusual roles blending science fiction horror and roundhouse kicks.

Fun fact: Silent Rage has been called Chuck Norris’s version of Halloween because of its unstoppable killer and eerie tone. It was a rare dip into horror for the action star.
